Debido a las diversas ocupaciones de la vida diaria me veo obligado a cambiar un poco el formato y frecuencia (como ya lo habrán notado) de las actualizaciones del blog. De momento probaré el concentrar todas las notas relevantes que hayan surgido en el día dentro de un solo post.
Antes que nada, Deadline informa que Lucasfilm ha cancelado los re-estrenos de los episodios II (Attack of the Clones) y III (Revenge of the Sith) de Star Wars en 3D para enfocarse por completo en el desarrollo del VII, del cual J.J. Abrams se encargará. Ha pesar de que una nueva trilogía está planeada, es muy probable que la conversión al formato tridimensional se realice en el futuro.
En otras noticias, las primeras imágenes oficiales de “Kick-Ass 2: Balls to the Wall” mostrando a Chloe Moretz como Hit-Girl han aparecido por MovieWeb (sacadas de unos scans de Empire), junto a otra ya conocida con Jim Carrey como Colonel Stars y Aaron Johnson como Kick-Ass. Se espera el estreno para el 28 de Junio. Nicolas Cage, Lyndsy Fonseca, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, John Leguizamo y Donald Faison coprotagoniza. Jeff Wadlow dirige.
A continuación tienen las imágenes antes citadas, seguidas por dos fotos de “The Wolverine” (también sacadas de la revista Empire) de James Mangold, donde podemos ver a Hugh Jackman como Logan portando un traje en algún lugar de Japón.
Finalmente el prestigioso Festival de Cine de Sundance ha llegado a su final, siendo “Fruitvale”, de Ryan Coogler la mejor película independiente en la categoría de drama. El Gran Premio del Jurado para película documental es de “Blood brother”, de Steve Hoover. La lista de palmarés a continuación:
